The Rural Missouri Spinners gathered on the lovely farm of Gail Cross to have another fun day of natural dying. We dyed with natural fibers of Osage orange, indigo, matter root and much more. We also did some dying in a crock pot with Kathy. We had great meals provided by chef Donna McDowell. Rural Missouri Spinners can be found at RuralMoSpinners@yahoogroups.com. Come join us for LOTS of fun and learning!!!

Franklin County Dye Day

We had a wonderful day at the farm!

Some of the great colored yarns from the natural
dyes.

Pots of Osage orange, madder root, cochneal, onion skins. We used tins, copper, and iron to change the colors of the yarn.

Don cooking for the whole crew.

Silver Dollar City – September & October

These items are handmade items that I had for sale at my booth in Silver Dollar City in September and October during their 50th year fall festival. They invited some of us traditional craftsmen to come and help them celebrate!!!
